Overview

SproutCMS (content management system) puts you in control of the content administration on your website.

SproutCMS is a secure and stable development framework that enables you to add, edit and delete content throughout your website with no required knowledge of html or associated programming languages.

Rich Text Editing

SproutCMS's rich text editor provides you with a simple set of tools to undertake editing tasks including:

• Create headings, paragraphs and line breaks
• Style text using bold and italics tools
• Paste content direct from Microsoft Word without importing the proprietary Microsoft tags (this is crucial for preserving style consistency across your website)
• Create tables for data display
• Insert images
• Create links to email addresses, external websites, internal pages and other documents and files (asset library) within your website

Asset Library

SproutCMS provides an administrator with the ability to create an asset library.

This is simply a repository of files that can be linked to and displayed throughout the website. Typically, an asset library is made up of images, pdfs and other popular document types.

Once you have added a file to the asset library you can easily access it during the everyday process of editing your website content. The Rich Text Editor described above allows you to insert images from your assets or create links to your documents.

User Management

Multiple user groups are created and exported with sproutCMS.

By default there are 2 user types with varying levels of access to the website's content:

• Super Administrator: can modify all content, settings and preferences and create users
• Editor: can modify page content and maintain the asset library

Further user types can easily be added to the system for greater levels of flexibility.

Content approval

SproutCMS can be configured to put content live immediately upon editing or alternatively pending approval by a designated user.

This system allows for a multiple stage publishing process, preventing unwanted errors and inappropriate content.

Requirements

SproutCMS's only requirements are a webserver with PHP (4.1 or higher) and MySQL (3.2.3 or higher).
