Seven years in the making, this intuitive tool will allow an administrator (someone in your organisation) to login to a secure area and add, edit and delete website content through a simple and intuitive interface.
Content types that can be managed include:
- Rich text and hyperlinks
- Articles
- Documents and files (pdf, excel, doc etc.)
- Images
- MP3’s and video
- No knowledge of website construction is necessary to use this system
Within seconds of filling in an entry in your content management system, your website will be updated with fresh, relevant information.
Page Versioning
Any time a page has been edited, the previous version will automatically be saved and stored with a date. This will allow an administrator to revert back to a previous version if need be.
There will also be the ability to work on an existing page and save it specifically as ‘incomplete’ without it necessarily going live. This will allow you to complete it at a later date and set it ‘live’ when appropriate.
Managed Workflow
Content publishing can be as simple as a single click or it can be dependent on a chain of approval process. Upon completing an edit the item can marked for approval, which automatically sends an email alert to a pre-assigned administrator, who will be able to check the edits before approving it for publishing.
This is just one simple example of a system of approval that can be customised to suit an organisation’s needs even down to unique content types requiring unique processes.
When the above process breaks down there will be a more ‘Push’ oriented system alerting those responsible when areas of the site are being neglected.
Link Checker
A script will run once a day checking for dead or stale links. This tool will check all links including those relating to documents, internal pages and external websites.
If the script discovers any dead or broken links it will send an email to an appropriate administrator alerting them of the problem.
